  • HESP Server: HESP Solutions capable of initiating HESP streams. This can include an encoder, packager, origin server, etc.

  • HESP Client: HESP Solutions capable of accessing or playing HESP streams.

  • License Terms: The marketing and reselling of the HESP Standard will be subject to additional license terms granted by the HESP Alliance.

  • Non-Commercial Use: Unless otherwise agreed in the license terms, this license does not include the right to resell and market the HESP Standard, or sub-license it for such purposes directly on indirectly through third parties, including but not limited to, no software license for the use of the HESP Standard subject to license fees.

  • Vendors of semiconductor chips or other products that manufacture HESP Solutions may pay royalties on behalf of their customer who is a Licensee (and has responsibility for assuring payment) subject to that Licensee’s annual cap.
